If you’re anything like me, working out isn’t just something to check off during the week, it’s a necessity. No matter where I am in the world, moving my body is part of my morning routine and helps me show up as my best self. Maybe you can relate?

I spent the last week in Port St. Joe, Florida, a small coastal town about an hour from Panama City. Once I got settled in, I went searching for a place to work out.
That’s when I found Fit As A Fiddle, a boutique-style gym just a two-minute walk from my Airbnb.

The door required a password, but one quick phone call got me in. After five minutes of paperwork and a $10 day pass, I was ready to go. The office is staffed Monday through Friday until noon, but the process was easy and welcoming.
Elaine, the owner, tall, kind, and warm, came around the counter to greet me. She smiled, introduced herself, and made me feel right at home as she showed me around. That personal touch and relaxed atmosphere are what make this gym so special.
The space itself was quiet, clean, and calm, the kind of environment that makes it easy to focus and get a solid workout in.
If you’re chasing PRs, this might not be your spot. But if you’re looking for a place to move your body with solid equipment, from free weights and machines to a squat rack, this gym has everything you need. There’s also a small studio in the back for personal training and group classes, plus extra equipment tucked
away if you need something specific.

At the counter, you’ll find protein shakes, coffee, and a few supplements, all available via Venmo or Cash App. Need to work out after hours? No problem. Members and guests can get an access code to use the facility 24 hours a day, with flexible payment options that keep everything simple.
If crowded gyms aren’t your thing, Fit As A Fiddle is a refreshing change of pace. Clean, welcoming, and community-minded, it’s one of Port St. Joe’s best-kept secrets.

For me, staying consistent with movement while traveling isn’t optional, it’s part of who I am. And if you’re the same way, this is a place you’ll be glad you found. 🏋️♀️✨
